Spanish Property
Achieves:
Diversifies asset risk by freeing up capital tied up in Spain for other investments. It may also assist in reducing liability to Spanish inheritance tax and wealth tax.
Requires:
A non-Spanish resident owning Spanish property worth in excess of €750,000.
How it works:
The owner of the Spanish property can apply for an investment mortgage that is secured over the property. The proceeds of the loan are placed in a secure account and investments into diversified funds are made with a view to at least covering the interest on the loan.
