Dance Extravaganza

Marlborough Trust is sponsoring the Dance Extravaganza at Beau Sejour on Saturday 27th June, in conjunction with The Guernsey Amateur Dancesport Association (GADA).  GADA have arranged for world famous ballroom dancers Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff, who both stared in the last series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to come over and entertain the guests on the night.

Both Brian and Kristina joined Strictly Come Dancing in series 6, and proved very popular with the British public. The dancing duo have performed various routines on Strictly, from several group performances to solo routines.

The local charity Guernsey MIND has been chosen to benefit from the proceeds raised from the ‘Dance Extravaganza’ from ticket sales and raffle.  MIND is the UK’s leading mental health charity.  Guernsey MIND is currently working towards providing advocacy and support services for people who experience mental health issues, particularly focusing upon raising awareness, improving services and challenging the stigma of mental health.

Ben Tustin, Director of Marlborough Trust, commented ‘we are delighted to support such an important charity and as a result the local community will benefit directly from the funds raised on the night’ Ben explained ‘we have had some amazing raffle prizes donated, a weeks holiday in the Pyrenees, a Snowshoeing break by Pyrenean-Trails.com, a weeks holiday in a Portugal villa from the management team at Marlborough Trust along with numerous other prizes.

The Dance Extravaganza will be held at Beau Sejour on Saturday 27th June 2009, in the Dave Ferguson Hall.  If you would like to get in on the action and get the chance to meet Brian and Kristina while supporting a local charity, you can purchase tickets for this event, via Jamie Le Tissier on 07781 115568.
