
After leaving secondary school in 2001 Kirsty joined Birch Insurance as a receptionist where after 6 months transferred to the Insurance broking department dealing with quotations and administration for motor and household insurance.
In 2004 Birch Insurance was taken over by Cherry Godfrey where she stayed until 2009. Kirsty then moved to Marlborough and joined the pension’s team as a pensions administrator and has since become a senior administrator.

Joanne joined the finance sector after deciding to leave the Civil Service to progress her career. Already having a basic working knowledge of pensions, Joanne took a pensions Administration Assistant post with Gower Pensions Management Limited. Seemingly finding her feet in this role she soon progressed to Senior Administrator.
Joanne moved to Marlborough in December 2010 as a Finance Officer where she predominately looks after the pensions finances and assists the pensions department as needed. In addition to this Joanne is the Treasurer of the Marlborough Sports & Social Committee.

After leaving school in 1991 Cheryl joined the Civil Service working in two different departments. In March 2000 she joined the finance industry and was employed as a trust and company bookkeeper and progressed to a trust and company administrator. After a break in her career after the birth of her son, Cheryl re-joined the finance industry in 2007. Cheryl joined Marlborough as the pensions bookkeeper in March 2011.

Before joining Marlborough, Simon worked for a firm of Actuaries and Consultants. During his time there Simon gained a wealth of knowledge on UK pension legislation having worked on a number UK based schemes. Simon has gained valuable experience working on various types of pension scheme, including defined benefit, hybrid, money purchase and international plans as well as gaining experience in the local retirement annuity trust market, QROPS and QNUPS. Simon has studied for recognised pension qualifications within the Pensions Management Institution framework and has gained retirement provision certification, Simon plans to continue his studying at Marlborough.

After leaving school Sophie joined the retail industry for a year. However, realising she wanted to move into the finance sector she enrolled at the College of Further Education and studied for the Certificate in Administration. After completing her course, Sophie joined Marlborough in 2010 as part of the Administration Support team and in August 2011 moved to the Marlborough Pensions team as a Pensions Administrator, where Sophie deals with the pension payments/ transfers and general administration.
