Marlborough

Tanya has worked in trust and company administration in Guernsey for the past 10 years and heads up the administration team at Marlborough dealing with both clients and intermediaries.

Before moving to Guernsey in 1993, Tanya spent 5 years in France managing various retail and restaurant businesses in the Alps during the winter seasons and travelling the globe during the summers. She spent a further year travelling throughout South and Central America. Prior to entering the financial services industry in Guernsey, Tanya held the post of Passenger Services Manager at the local ferry company for 5 years.

Tanya has a BA Honours Degree in Modern Languages (with distinction in spoken French).

Having finished secondary school in May 2008, Leanne wanted to further herself and studied for a Diploma in Administration at the College of Further Education. In June 2010, Leanne joined Marlborough as part of a works experience placement from the College and was offered a full time position within one of the administration teams. Leanne has completed STEP Certificate and is currently studying towards her STEP Diploma and will complete this by 2013.

Val has worked in the finance industry for 24 years and first joined Goethe Management Limited in 1987 and worked within the Company Secretarial and Administration department. In July 2001 she joined Corporate Secretarial Services as a PA and Company Administrator and in January 2004 Val joined Marlborough as a Senior Client Administrator.

Sam joined a local owned trust company in 2002 and gained over 7 years’ experience in the field of Trust and Company Administration. In his previous position he specialised in administering structures for high net worth individuals. Sam is a fully qualified STEP member and is currently studying towards a BSc in Management with Trust and Estates. Sam has a passion for music having completed a Jazz degree at Leeds College of Music and still performs regularly with a number of Jazz and pop groups.

After leaving the Grammar School in 2001, Katie joined the finance industry as a Junior Administrator for a local trust and company organisation. Having worked there for 10 years, Katie was promoted to Senior Administrator in the Property and Marine Department.

In August 2011, Katie joined Marlborough as a Senior Administrator in the Client Administration Department.

Baiba came to Guernsey in 2004 from Europe and joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers where she worked as a Personal Assistant. Joining Marlborough in April 2009, Baiba started as a Trainee Trust Administrator has progressed to having her own portfolio of clients. Baiba is currently studying towards her STEP diploma and also advanced Russian!

Peter was educated at the Grammar School and joined the Civil Service in 1991 for a number of years. Peter left to go traveling and returned to take up a post at the Bank of Butterfield for 8 years as a Relationship Manager. After leaving The Bank of Butterfield, Peter went traveling (again) and came back to Guernsey to join HSBC Private Bank as a Relationship Manager. Peter joined Marlborough in 2010 and works in the Client Services Department as Trust Administrator.   He has no plans to go travelling.

Tracie-Kate was born and educated in Guernsey and has an artistic background starting work in a local pottery. In 1997 Tracie-Kate moved away from the arts and began her financial career working for an independent Trust Company. By 2000 Tracie-Kate followed her manager, Ben Tustin, in a move to a Private Client Team in the offshore business of Deloitte and Touche and progress her career to a Senior Trust Officer.

In 2007, Tracie Kate joined Ben again at the newly established Marlborough and currently holds the position of Senior Client Administrator working closely on Marlborough’s structures which are established for high profile sports athletes.

Having trained as a Cordon Bleu chef in London, Sophie returned to Guernsey in 1996 where her daughter Evie was born and later on, her son Tom. Following a career change in 1997, she joined CIBC Bank which was later taken over by the Bank of Butterfield. Sophie progressed and was quickly promoted, while taking various exams including the STEP diploma. In 2008, Sophie joined the team at Marlborough as a senior trust administrator.

Dave has been a company and trust administrator with Marlborough Trust since joining the Company in June 2008. After leaving full time education he commenced work as a member of the sales and marketing team for Guernsey’s tomato industry. After 8 years he moved to marketing for a local export agent before accepting the position of marketing manager for a major group of Guernsey flower growers.

With the demise of the local horticultural industry, Dave diversified into trust and company administration for a number of Guernsey based finance companies prior to joining Marlborough.

Amy left school and joined Rothschild Trust Ltd as a bookkeeper and accounts assistant in 2001, where after a couple of years she left to work for Guernsey International Trustees Limited as a trust administrator.

In 2005 Amy joined Marlborough where she has progressed from a Trust Administrator to Client Administration Manager.  She now manages a team responsible for the day to day administration of complex trust and company structures for High Net Worth Individuals.

Carmo was born and educated in Madeira and after leaving school in 1994, she decided to come to Guernsey to work for a few months.

Carmo fell in love with the island and joined the finance industry in 1998 working at Credit Suisse , RBC Trust Company and then SG Hambros Limited.  Carmo joined Marlborough in 2007 as a Senior Client Administrator and in 2011 was promoted to Client Administration Manager.

David was born and educated in Guernsey. In 1988 he joined a substantial legal practice and after two years headed up their company formation department. After completing his studies for the Certificate in Offshore Administration, David joined a law firm owned trust company as an administrative manager and in 2003 was appointed to the Board. In January 2004, David teamed up with Nick Hannah at Marlborough bringing with him over twenty years experience in the formation and administration of companies and trusts in numerous jurisdictions.
